Topic: it is more important for students to study history and literature than it is for them to study science and mathematics.
Some people say that history and literature are more important than science and mathematics, but I think that is more important for students to study science and mathematics because we don’t have to know the history later on unless I am going to be a history teacher, and it is very helpful to know well math and science.
The reason why I said math and science are more helpful is that if we look around, there are a lot of things that we can use math and science, but not history and literature.
History is about the work that was happened in the past, which is not that important for now and the future in my life. There are lots of things that we can use math and science.
It is good to know the history, but it is not going to help me to know something new because history is about past unless I am going to be a history teacher. However math and science, as long as we know them, we can use them, even though it is very simple, plus or minus, it is very simple, but useful. History doesn’t influence us that much.
If something is very helpful, and useful to know, I think that means it is more important than anything else for the education because unless it is interesting, and going to influence my life, it is not that important job to know, why would we learn something not even useful, if we are not going to use them.
In my opinion, if something is not helpful, it is not that important, history is important as culture, but not as normal people’s life. So with these reasons I think that it is not more important for students to study history and literature than studying math and science.
